Silver Strike – Horseshoe Casino, Bossier City, La – $40. Face – .999 Silver
I am offering Silver Strikes from my personal collection. This one is from The HORSESHOE Casino in Bossier City, Louisiana. It has a 40.00 face value, and is .999 pure silver. The design on the front shows the Casino sign and the back has the Horseshoe logo. To the best of my knowledge, the plastic case has never been opened. Some scratches and scuffs on the plastic are normal, due to the wear and tear of the coins going through the machines; however replacement plastic cases can be purchased easily. Please feel free to contact me with any questions, or if you need additional photos.
FYI - What are Silver Strikes?
A 'Silver Strike' is a limited edition silver token won through slot machine play, enclosed in a protective plastic holder. They have been issued by many casinos throughout the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean, as well as on Cruise Ships. Silver Strikes were first seen in slot machines in the Reno/Tahoe, Nevada area in about 1992. With the increase in the price of silver, today's 'Silver Strikes' are not usually .999 silver, but are a core metal 'clad' in silver. Also due to cost, many casinos have removed the machines from play.
The tokens have been issued with different redeemable values over time. The current Silver Strikes being issued today are almost all $10 denominations; all of the $2, $3, $5, $7, $20 and $28 Silver Strike machines have been removed from play for some time. The $12. tokens are from cruise ships. Colored plastic cases are considered 'chaser' strikes, normally they are issued in lower quantities.
$10. Face Strikes have a silver content of .6 troy ounce - $40. Face Strikes have a silver content of 1.54 troy ounce.

International Buyers Please Note:
Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility.
Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying.
These charges are normally collected by the delivering freight (shipping) company or when you pick the item up – do not confuse them for additional shipping charges.
We do not mark merchandise below value or mark items as "gifts" - US and International government regulations prohibit such behavior.
Multiple items can be combined to reduce shipping, based on combined weight of all items. If you are bidding on multiple items, let me know - DO NOT MAKE PAYMENT until I invoice you for all of them - Combined Shipping must be paid on ONE invoice!
I add a small ‘handling fee’ to cover postal fees not included in the Shipping Calculator (such as Delivery Confirmation, etc) and non-recyclable packing supplies.
I work with, and share a car with my husband, so I cannot get to the Post Office daily. I usually make the trip once or twice a week - if you need the item for a specific date, please let me know, and I will make every effort to get it to you on time. The 'Handling Time' shown below is the longest estimate - normal handling time is shorter.
Thanks for Looking!
